Frequently Asked Questions About Outdoor Shades
Can outdoor shades provide privacy?
Yes. The amount of privacy depends on the fabric and openness level you choose. Some outdoor shade fabrics are designed to maintain more of the outdoor view, while tighter weaves can provide greater privacy. We'll help you find the right balance between privacy, sunlight, and visibility.
Can I still see outside through outdoor shades?
Yes. Many solar-style shade fabrics are specifically designed to filter sunlight while maintaining an outward view. The amount of visibility depends on the fabric's openness level and the lighting conditions. We'll help you compare fabric options so you can choose the right combination of view, glare reduction, and privacy.
Can outdoor shades be motorized?
Yes. Motorized operating options can make outdoor shades much easier to use, particularly when you have multiple shades or large openings. Depending on the system selected, you may have convenient control options that allow you to adjust your shades throughout the day.
Where can outdoor shades be installed?
Outdoor shades can be used in a variety of exterior spaces, including covered patios, porches, outdoor rooms, pool areas, and outdoor entertaining spaces. The appropriate solution depends on the structure, dimensions, exposure, and how the space is used. We'll evaluate your outdoor area and recommend the best configuration.
Do outdoor shades help with heat?
Outdoor shades can help reduce the amount of direct sunlight reaching an outdoor living area, which may make the space feel more comfortable. Their effectiveness depends on the shade material, openness, placement, and the specific conditions of your outdoor space. We'll help you select an option based on your home's orientation and sun exposure.
Are outdoor shades good for Arizona homes?
Yes. Outdoor shades can be especially helpful in Arizona because they can reduce direct sunlight, glare, and exposure in outdoor living areas. They can make patios, covered porches, and outdoor rooms more comfortable while helping you enjoy those spaces for longer throughout the day.

"Maria came out right away, and she brought all the samples for us to visualize in the rooms. She then installed temporary blinds for us while we waited for our blinds to come in.
